Easiest Fried Rice Recipe

Ingredients
1/4 cup oil
2 tablespoons butter
3 eggs whisked
2 medium carrots cleaned and diced
1 brown onion diced
1 cup frozen peas
4 teaspoons minced garlic
4 cups cooked and chilled rice
4 spring onions sliced finely
1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper
4 tablespoons soy sauce
3 teaspoons oyster sauce
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
Method
In a large frying pan heat one tablespoon oil and one tablespoon butter and pour the eggs in and fry gently , flip it over once the undersurface is cooked , once cooked, transfer to a flat wide plate and let cool, once cooled cut it into short wide strips
Now add the remaining oil and butter to the frying pan and heat till butter melts add the brown onion and carrots and cook gently for about 10-15 minutes till onions are golden and both vegetables are soft
Add the garlic and frozen peas stirring continuously for another 5 minutes
Add the salt and pepper
Add the rice ,spring onions, soy sauce,oyster sauce and sesame oil stirring well until all heated through , about 5 minutes , now add the egg and stir through , taste and adjust according to taste , you may want to add more soy sauce .
You can add more vegetables or meats for example thinly
sliced mushrooms , bean shoots , shrimps , or ham . this is a very easy and delicious dish!
