French Toast with Cherries and Cream

Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 slices of bread [or egg loaf]
2 eggs
3 tablespoons milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 jar pitted cherries in syrup
2 tablespoons double cream
1 tablespoon icing sugar
Method
In a shallow bowl whisk eggs , add the milk, blending it thoroughly, stir through the salt
Add the slices of bread soaking them well in the egg mixture
Place oil in large saucepan, add the egg soaked bread and fry gently till lightly browned
Serve the french toast with cherries ,syrup and cream and sprinkle icing sugar over them
