German Onion and Bacon Pie

Ingredients
2 sheets of shortcrust pastry
600 mls sour cream
1/4 cup oil
200 grams bacon , chopped
2 tablespoons minced garlic
6 medium sized brown onions finely sliced
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons flour
1-2 teaspoons salt to taste
2 teaspoons caraway seeds
Method
In a large frypan place oil and fry bacon till crisp and set aside
Now place onions in the pan and gently fry till soft and lightly browned will take about 20-30 min utes
Add the bacon and the remaining ingredients back in with the onions
Stir through
Line a greased 9 inch springform pan with the shortcrust pastry
Place the mixture in
Put into warm oven 200 degrees Celsius and bake for 50 -55 minutes till the top is lightly browned and when you put a skewer in through the middle it comes out dry
