Indian Goat Curry

TOTAL TIME: 1 hr 40 mins [with pressure cooker] [with a slow cooker add another 6 hours if on high setting] [iff on stovetop add another 1.5 hours cook time]
Ingredients
1/4 cup oil
1 kg goat meat with bone in
2 brown onions finely chopped
1 bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
3 teaspoons minced ginger
3 teaspoons minced garlic
1x 400 gram tinned chopped tomatoes
4 cloves ground or 1 teaspoon ground cloves
6 green cardamon pods ground or 2 teaspoons ground cardamon
1 tablespoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon cumin powder
1/2 to 1 teaspoon chilli powder [according to spiciness ]
1 teaspoon garam masala
1-2 teaspoons salt [according to taste]
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
1 teaspoon fennel seeds
1 long red chilli sliced finely
1 cup water
Method
In a frypan place all the dry ground spices and heat for 1 minute till fragrant , be careful not to burn, then set pan aside and add the remaining spices to the pan
Heat oil in a large solid frypan add the goat and fry till browned for 5 minutes and put into the pressure cooker
In the empty frypan now place the onions and cook gently for about 5-8 minutes till onions are soft
Then add the ginger , garlic and chilli and fry up for another 1-2 minutes
Add all the spices , salt, tomato and water and stir through, and put into the pressure cooker,
Stir all ingredients together and set timer for 1 hour
Once cooked adjust taste for salt and serve up , nice with steamed rice and/ or roti bread
